Dutch households and empty batteries

Measurement 2023

This annual survey focused on the knowledge, attitude and behaviour of Dutch households with regard to empty batteries.

The survey mapped out the level of knowledge of consumers, the importance consumers attach to the separate return of empty batteries and to what extent empty batteries are always returned separately. In addition, questions were asked about the Battery Storage Box, the familiarity with return locations, considerations for returning empty batteries via grocery or parcel services and it was investigated what households would do with a defective bicycle battery.
